I bet shopaholics who visit Gurney Plaza frequently know the existence of
G Hotel.
This hotel is located just next to the shopping mall..
The location of the hotel makes it easier for penangnites and tourists
to go to different places too.

there will be different 'theme' each day when you dine in the Cafe.
As an example, every Friday is SEAFOOD BBQ for dinner buffet.
You will be able to enjoy the fresh and delicious seafood barbecue on that day.
Meanwhile, every Sunday will be NORTHERN INDIAN CURRIES.

I was there for the buffet lunch.
Hmmm.. we will let the pictures do the talking :

too much MSG is bad for health.

The main meal :

Based on some comments from friends,
i can conclude that the prawns and fishes are very fresh and delicious.
Unfortunately, the mussel has a weird scent.
others are moderate.

Chicago Rib House @ Gurney Plaza

We noticed a new place which was under renovation in Gurney Plaza few months ago.
It took over the lot which was previously occupied by Manila Place.
Chicago Rib House, said the banner.

This was the second time I visited this restaurant. Unfortunately, I did not have the chance to order their most popular food - the Ribs.. Perhaps i will have the chance to order it next time.

For the time being, HongSoh would like to share about the other food in the menu.

Do you know, Chicago Rib House (other than the fact that they serve both pork and beef ribs!) serves combo meals for their ribs which allows you to pair the ribs with some other item in the menu such as a steak?Oh well, although I did not have the chance to taste the ribs, i am good in exploring......

Set lunch is also available with a soup of the day and a drink.

We apologize that our very 1st review will be a bad one.
This afternoon, we went to this new cafe
located behind Subaidah for our tea time.
This will be our 1st and last time there.

Five of us ordered different flavour of bubble milk tea to try.
The taste was awful!!
The pearls were like rubber and
it was totally different than the one we usually had.
Look at the drinks.


Are we drinking milk tea or water colour tea?
Did i mention it is TASTELESS too??
